13 hours to go before my flight leaves

hmm... i should be packing at this very moment but instead i have decided to update the world on my life so far.
tomorrow i leave for arizona. i'm super excited and completely nervous at the same time. I'm always like this though. like that time i was terrified to go to london for school. the first day i got there before anyone else and ended up crying to sleep because i wanted to be home so bad. but i got over it and ended up making some of the best friends i've ever had.

i'm listening to shuffle on my ipod at this very moment and i'm devouring john deere gummies. yes in georgia they make john deere gummies!

i even found out today that Georgia has an annual GRITS festival - bazaar - i'll even dd a picture for you entertainment. I bet you're thinking to yourself right now.... "is that a swimming pool full of grits?" and my answer is "why yes that's what we do in the south because we've run out of water" And people wonder why anyone who is not from the south makes fun of the south.

Oh American Idol. how could i forget that.
KRIS WON!!!

I was so excited i had this weird bazaar feeling he would. I couldn't handle adams screaming.
I kinda hope kris will go country. like keith urban country - i think he'll go far if he goes that direction.

ok so i'm off to offically pack my luggage.

peace, love and cupcakes people

Mari

I'm back!

ok so yay for me for finally finding a spare moment to write.

so what have i been doing these past months.... hmm the truth is nothing special. I got a job. which means money for traveling and school. boring i know. it suck that i have to save over half my moolah for book for school - damn educational system should provide the materials with as much money as i am forking out for what i believe to be an overpriced degree.

I get to spend my summer in Arizona.. yay! i'm totally excited and can not wait to go get on a plane. I'll most def be posting about my experience there.

That's all I have for now. I'm off to bed because i need to be up by 7am tomorrow. blah
So I know I have been absent lately. I've been this horrible blogger and I promise I will be back soon.

Life has gotten a bit hectic at the moment.....but i'll be back soon.

promise.

Women's Aid

anarchy

Holy Shit.

This is all i can say for what's going on outside the financial district today...and i can only imagine what will happen tomorrow.

I understand completely why people are reacting like this though. i think it's 3,000+ people a day that lose a job just in one country. Everyday ordinary people are having to give up their homes, face going into debt because they can't pay their bills and settle with 10 cent ramen noodles for every damn meal.

I heard a story the other day about a family having to give up their pets because they could not afford to feed them. I mean it's so said to have to hear about a child having to give up something they love and it's all because mommy and daddy both lost their jobs, they can barely buy enough food for their children and the parents eat the leftovers from their children's plate. a dog could not survive.

I adore Obama. I think he's an amazing man and I'm hoping he'll be able to bring some fresh ideas to the G-20.

But It's getting scary out there and I think the only thing that is easing it all is still having the ability to fight for what's left. So cheers to the people who are standing for the rest of us.
